March 20, 2020, 11:00AM:
We have just received word from Good Sam National Headquarters that due to recent developments, the continued outbreak of COVID-19, and the concern for everyone’s safety and well being, all Good Sam organizational meetings and state rallies are to be canceled in 2020. Therefore, Iowa Good Sam will not be holding our “Wild, Wild West” RV rally at Amana RV Park, June 23-25, 2020. Good Sam is committed to making sure the RV community is safe. If you have already submitted a registration, all monies will be refunded as soon as possible.
Thank you, Iowa Good Sam
Hello!! We are happy , proud, and excited to become your new Iowa Good Sam State Directors.
We have been members since 1998, and we have been the Central Iowa Asst Directors for 6 years during these years we have had a chance to meet a lot of people along with making many friends.
Dale retired from MidAmerican Energy where he had worked for 38 years as an Accounting Manager. Cheryl Also worked at MidAmerican for 16 years and runs a small business from home.
We have 7 children, 12 grandchildren and many furry family members. Currently, we are in University Park and are moving this summer to a new home.
We, like many of you, started camping in a tent (in the rain first time out) and gradually moved up to a 5th wheel. Over our 30 years we have camped in many places and made many new friends. We have had so much fun!
We look forward to working with Iowa State Staff, who in our thoughts are the"BEST" and to continue to increase our membership and increase Rally attendance.
Have a safe and fun camping season!!

What is Good Sam:
The Good Sam RV Club has been in existence since 1966. Get acquainted with the greatest club on wheels! The club is made up of Chapters, groups of people who have like interests and like to camp together. The Chapters provide fun and fellowship for it’s members. Good Sam is a nonprofit with any monies collected at events going to Charities. Each state has an annual rally which are coordinated by Good Sam members who donate their time and energy to create these events. We are always looking for folks who like to RV, bringing them together in fun and exciting ways.
Good Sam Pledge
As a member of the Good Sam Club, I pledge to give aid to others in need, respect nature and environment, give back to the community and those less fortunate, treat others with dignity and respect, and to wear a smile (Like Good Sam & Samantha!) and promote the pledge of the Good Sam Club to others.
